🌿Nothing to Give
The Pause
Before you begin,
listen for the sound
beneath your silence.
It is not empty.
It is the breath
you thought you lost.
🌾
There are hearts who walk quietly among us,
carrying the ache of absence—
the secret fear that they have nothing to offer,
nothing worth the giving.
They see others create, speak, build, inspire, and their own hands fall still.
“What do I have?” they whisper.
And the whisper echoes, “Nothing.”
But that word—nothing—is holy ground.
It was over the nothing that God first spoke.
It was in the void that light began to sing.
Creation itself was born from emptiness,
not fullness.
The Spirit still hovers there.
Not over your strength,
but over your stillness.
Not in your eloquence,
but in your quiet waiting.
For the gift of God is never something you make—
it is something that moves through you
when you stop trying to make yourself matter.
You are not called to fill the world with your worth.
You are called to let the worth of God
fill the world through your being.
What if the nothing you fear
is the space where God is making room to speak?
What if your poverty
is the doorway through which grace enters?
When the widow brought two small coins,
He said she had given more than all the rest.
When the boy offered his lunch,
He multiplied what was never enough.
And when Jesus hung on the cross,
He gave His last breath—
and the world began again.
Heaven has never asked for abundance.
Only openness.
The smallest kindness,
the quietest prayer,
the gentlest presence
become miracles
in the hands of Love.
So if you feel you have nothing to give,
give that.
Give your nothing.
It’s all God has ever needed
to make everything new.
Under the Sun / Beyond the Sun
You thought you were empty.
But the Wind was waiting there.
You thought you were useless.
But the silence was already singing.
The gift was never yours to find.
It was His—
hidden in your nothingness,
waiting to be born.
